Dollar General clearance
Dollar General clearance means marked-down items, usually seasonal or discontinued stock, and Dollar General also runs Clearance Events with their own page on dollargeneral.com. Dollar General does not publish a clearance schedule, so the dates of the next event are not known in advance.
Dollar General clearance event
Dollar General’s site has a “Clearance Event” category, titled “Shop Clearance Event at Dollar General.” It is where Dollar General lists clearance deals online. As of Nov 7, 2026, Dollar General’s own pages did not give dates for upcoming events or a fixed discount level.
When is the next Dollar General clearance event?
Dollar General has not announced one on its own site as of Nov 7, 2026. Dates passed around online come from shoppers and coupon blogs, not from Dollar General. The reliable signals are Dollar General’s own app, its Clearance Event page, and the weekly ad.
Percent-off deals in this week’s ad
These are the percent-off deals printed in the Nov 8 to 14 Dollar General weekly ad. Unlike in-store clearance tags, these discounts are published in advance, so you can plan for them.

Dollar General clearance rules to know
- Dollar General’s coupon policy has no separate section for clearance items. Its general limits apply: at most two coupons per item, one manufacturer coupon plus one Dollar General coupon.
- “All coupon offers available only while quantities last.”
- Dollar General “does not match competitor Ad prices,” so another store’s clearance price will not be matched.
- Dollar General reserves the right to limit purchase quantities “to typical retail purchase quantities.”
Clearance and the penny list
The Dollar General penny list is an unofficial shopper list of items said to ring up at $0.01. Dollar General does not publish one. What it is and what is confirmed is covered in Dollar General penny list.
