Dollar General $5 off $25
Dollar General’s $5 off $25 is a DG digital coupon that takes $5 off a purchase of $25 or more before tax, counted after all other discounts. The offer we checked on Nov 7, 2026 read: “Save $5.00 on your purchase of $25.00 or more (pre-tax) at Dollar General.”
How the Dollar General $5 off $25 coupon works
- Clip the $5 off $25 coupon to your myDG wallet in the Dollar General app or on dollargeneral.com.
- Shop until your total is at least $25 before tax, after item coupons and sale prices.
- Enter your phone number at the register before you pay.
The fine print on the coupon we checked:
- “$25 or more (pretax) after all discounts applied; limit one per person.”
- “This coupon can’t be combined with other DG $2, $3 or $5 off store coupons.”
- Excludes “phone, gift and prepaid financial cards; prepaid wireless handsets, Rug Doctor rental, propane, milk, tobacco and alcohol.”
Is Dollar General $5 off $25 every Saturday?
No, not always. Dollar General does not publish a fixed schedule for $5 off $25, and the days change. The Nov 1 to 7, 2026 weekly ad advertised “$5 off $25” DG digital coupons for Monday to Friday, Nov 2 to 6, and the $5 off $25 coupon we checked on dollargeneral.com expired Saturday, Nov 7. Check the flyer in the Dollar General weekly ad and the coupon list in the app before you plan a trip around it.
Why didn’t my $5 off $25 work at Dollar General?
Based on the coupon’s own terms, the usual reasons are:
- Your total fell under $25 after discounts. Item coupons and sale prices come off first. A $27 cart with $3 in digital coupons is $24 and does not qualify.
- Excluded items don’t count. Milk, alcohol, tobacco, propane, gift cards, phone cards and prepaid cards do not help you reach $25.
- You used another DG dollars-off store coupon. It cannot be combined with other DG $2, $3 or $5 off store coupons.
- You already used it. The coupon is limited to one per person.
- The phone number was not entered. Digital coupons only apply when you enter the phone number on your account at checkout.
- The coupon expired. Each $5 off $25 coupon has its own end date.
How many times can I use $5 off $25 at Dollar General?
Once. The coupon we checked says “limit one per person” and “Redeem up to 1 times per purchase.” Dollar General’s coupon policy also says transactions “cannot be broken up to avoid coupon stacking restrictions.”
